Before you configure port forwarding you need to insure that you have a reserved or static IP address, view this help article on how to reserve an IP address with a Belkin PlayMax router.

It is important that you have a reserved or static IP address as the rules are set to forward ports to a specific IP address. If you haven’t configured a reserved or static IP address it will change each time you reboot your computer, and the ports will not forward to the correct device.

This guide shows you how to add port forwarding rules on the Belkin PlayMax router for Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Call of Duty – Black Ops requires you to forward the following ports:

  • 3074 TCP/UDP
  • 3478-4380 TCP/UDP
  • 27000-27050 TCP/UDP

Open your web browser and clear anything in the address bar, enter in the address for your Belkin PlayMax router, the default address is 192.168.2.1

From the guest status page click the “Login” button in the top right corner.
