Overview

The Overview menu displays information regarding the status and setup of the FRITZ!Box. From this menu, the FRITZ!Box will inform you of errors within the FRITZ!Box settings.

Internet Settings

The Internet settings are used for configuring your FRITZ!box internet settings, ranging from your account information to your DSL information.

  • Online Monitor

Online Monitor:

This menu is responsible for monitoring your Internet connection and other functions of the FRITZ!Box. Monitored information is then displayed on this menu.

Online Meter:

This menu is responsible for monitoring your time online, as well as the amount of data which is transmitted. The data is displayed as seen below.

  • Account Information

Internet Connection:

This menu allows you to configure certain settings regarding your Internet connection.

IPv6:

In this menu, you can configure settings allowing for the IPv6 support of your FRITZ!Box.

LISP (Locator / Identifier Separation Protocol):

The menu allows for new routing architectures for the Internet.

DNS Server:

The menu allows you to specify certain settings regarding DNS servers.

  • Filters

Parental Controls:

This menu allows you to control Internet access for any f the devices in your network. You can control devices by creating access profiles or by enabling blacklists and web address filters.

Access Profiles:

The menu will allow you to define how your network devices can use the Internet. These profile scan be edited at any time using this page.

Prioritization:

In this menu, you can define which of your devices and network applications are prioritized whilst the Internet connection is at its full capacity and transmission power.

Lists:

This menu allows you to create and edit any lists that are required for the use of Internet filters and prioritizations.

  • Permit Access

Port Sharing:

This menu allows you to configure port sharing functions. Such functions allow you to authorize connection for users to the Internet in your network.

FRITZ!Box Services:

This menu allows you to establish secure access to your FRITZ!Box, as well as configuring a number of other related functions.

The VPN menu allows you to establish a secure remote access to your network.

  • MyFRITZ! Account

  • DSL Information

Overview:

This menu will display an overview of your DSL information.

DSL:

This menu will display your DSL connection details.

Spectrum:

This menu will display an information spectrum for your DSL info.

Statistics:

This page will display your DSL information in statistical form.

Line Settings:

This menu will allow you to increase the interference resistance of your DSL connection.

Feedback:

This page allows you to send feedback regarding your DSL connection to AVM, who manufacture the FRITZ!Box and other network devices.

Telephony

From this tab, you can configure all the settings relating to the telephony of your FRITZ!Box.

  • Calls

Call List:

This menu displays all of your calls and missed calls of the telephone connected to your FRITZ!Box.

Click to Dial:

This menu will allow you to enable the “Click to Dial” function.

  • Answering Machine

Telephone Book:

This menu is a digital phone book. You can add or delete numbers in this menu.

Internal Numbers:

This menu displays a list of the internal numbers saved to the FRITZ!Box. These can be used to connect one telephone to another.

Click to Dial:

This menu allows you to enable the Click to Dial function.

  • Alarm:

These pages allow you to configure alarms for telephone numbers.

  • Fax

This menu will allow you to configure the fax functions of the FRITZ!Box.

  • Call Handling

Call Blocks:

This menu allows you to specify numbers for which your telephony devices should not ring or call.

Call Diversion:

This menu will allow you to create call diversions. These will redirect calls to another telephone number.

Call Through:

This menu will help you establish a call within two steps.

Dialing Rules:

This menu allows you to create dialing rules for different numbers. For example, you can configure the numbers and ranges of telephone numbers, as well as specifying how hey should be dialed.

Carrier Prefixes:

This menu allows you to configure your carrier prefixes, which can later be used in the dialing rules.

  • Telephony Devices

This menu allows you to configure and edit any connected telephony devices integrated with the FRITZ!Box.

Telephone Numbers:

This menu allows you to configure your own telephone numbers.

Voice transmission:

This page displays details of the voice transmission of both active and ended calls.

Home Network

These settings relate to the running of your FRITZ!Box home network.

  • Home Network Overview:

All Devices:

This menu will display a table containing all of your devices which are connected to your FRITZ!Box network. You can directly update any FRITZ! products connected to the FRITZ!Box from this page.

Network Connections:

This menu displays a table displaying every device connected to the FRITZ!Box network, either by wireless LAN or LAN. The table will also display any devices connected by VPN to the FRITZ!Box.

Network Settings:

This menu allows you to grant guest access to the Internet.

  • USB Devices:

Overview of Devices:

This menu displays an overview of all the USB devices which are connected to you FRITZ!Box.

USB Settings:

This menu allows you to specify which USB ports connected to the FRITZ!Box can be operated at full power (Power Mode) or reduced power (Green Mode).

USB Remote Connection:

This menu allows you to enable the USB remote connection. This will allow you to install the necessary functions on your computer to run USB devices on the FRITZ!Box, if your USB devices cannot already connect to the FRITZ!Box.

Settings:

This menu allows you to configure a number of Media Server settings.

Web Radio:

This menu allows you to establish radio stations (These can be listened to using the FRITZ!Fon).

Podcast:

This menu allows you to configure your podcast subscriptions. You can listen to these on any playback device, including the FRITZ!Fon.

This menu is responsible for checking the functions and systems of your FRITZ!Box.

This menu will display the security settings of your FRITZ!Box.

  • Event Log:

The Event Log menu will display a list of all the events or actions the FRITZ!Box has completed.

  • Energy Monitor

Power Consumption:

This menu displays information on the energy use of your FRITZ!Box.

Statistics:

This menu displays graphs which demonstrate how the device parameters of your FRITZ!Box change dependent on its given actions.

  • Push service

Push Services:

This menu, or overview, will display what push services you have enabled. You can configure push services from this menu too.

Sender:

This push service allows you to send service emails to a given email address. This email address can be used to notify when the FRITZ!Box is encountering errors too.

  • Buttons and LEDs

“Info” Display:

This menu displays your configuration option for your FRITZ!Box LEDs. This can be altered in the “Freely Selectable Options” drop-down bar.

Keylock:

This menu allows you to enable the Buttons locked option. This will lock your keyboard keys and prevent settings from being accidentally changed.

  • FRITZ!Box Users

User:

This menu allows you to edit, create or delete your user files.

Login to the Home Network:

This menu allows you to specify how to would like to log into the FRITZ!Box user interface.

Apps:

This menu displays all of the apps and given mobile devices which have access to the FRITZ!Box. You can revoke their access by deleting their entry from this menu.

  • Backup

Save:

This menu allows you to save all of your personalized FRITZ!Box settings to a backup file on your computer.

Restore:

This menu will allow you to restore all of your FRITZ!Box settings using a backup save file.

Restart:

This menu will allow you to restart the FRITZ!Box.

Factory Settings:

This menu will allow you to reset the FRITZ!Box factory settings.

  • Update

FRITZ!OS Version:

This menu allows you to search for new FRITZ!OS updates. You can also update from this location.

Automatic Update:

This menu allows you to configure settings for automatic FRITZ!OS updates.

FRITZ!OS File:

This menu allow you to perform manual updates using the FRITZ!OS File.

  • Region and Language

Language Settings:

This menu allows you to configure language settings for the FRITZ!Box user interface.

Regional Options:

This menu will allow you to select you current region.

Time Zone:

This menu will allow you to configure your time zone settings.

The Wizards menu will provide you with a number of step by step guides (Wizards) for all manner of services on the FRITZ!Box.
